Quick 24 hours at the cabin earlier last week with Ali and girls.
The kids had a BLAST!
Super fun spot right off the road to walk and play in the river.
Lots of playing in the “pure mud,” as they kept calling it. I don’t even know what that really means, but they loved it!
Thankful for this beautiful spot that Grandpa Fetzer loved so much.
The best kind of popcorn is cabin popcorn. Seriously.
Sleepovers in the loft. Especially love the signs they made for each of their beds. Wouldn’t want to get confused, you know 😉
100% tuckered out. I think they had tons of fun. Slept the entire way home. So glad we could go, Ali!
And over the weekend…Dan and Sam went for a quick overnight camp east of Kamas, just past Mom and John’s house. Don’t let the good view fool you, the road was gnarly…like, took TWO hours just to go six miles. Still though, they had a great time out there together, just the two of them.
Some biking at sunset
You can see Dans car over on the far right. Cool little spot!
While they were out camping, Jenn flew in last Friday night for a quick two days with us! SO happy she could make it. Of course we started our Saturday out sweating, duh. 😉
Off to aunt Joan’s annual 24th of July party (Pioneer Day in Utah) I love, love this tradition with our Fetzer family. So, so good to see aunt and uncles and so many cousins.
Joan’s yard=the best summer night for a party yard.
And some fireworks to close out the night. Sam didn’t go to bed til 10pm or so. Normally he’s awake by 7am no matter how late he goes to bed. Sunday though, he slept until almost 8:30am. That’s unheard of!
Sunday brought a hike up Snowbird for me. I love that I can still hike and be outside and do what I love, but I can save my knee on the way down by taking a free tram right to the bottom. It’s the perfect solution for my knee full of arthritis. Plus, it’s just really really beautiful up there right now.
Up higher, but I was sweating buckets. It’s hot in UT right now…over 100 degrees all this coming week.
Ended our weekend with some super delicious pizza made by Mark. So good! And Jenn, that lemon curd and berries…yum!
This was my favorite. Peach jam, prosciutto, a bit of mozz, arugula, parm and a balsamic drizzle. Oh my, so so good!
I love you ladies so much. So thankful we have each other. And, so glad you get to come back at Christmas time. Love you!
