Thank you Sam, for the best card ever.
I especially love that you drew the swing, ladder and the chair I sit on sometimes to watch.
It rained pretty much all day long so we spent the majority of the day hanging out inside. Dan made a super yummy dinner of pot roast, potato-celery root puree and sauteed chard. DELISH! And the perfect rainy day Mother’s Day meal 🙂
The rain let up before dinner so out we went on a walk/bike ride. We needed the fresh air!
I LOVE them!
I’m so thankful, lucky, blessed and feel so much joy being a mom. It really is THE best, hardest and most rewarding job on this earth. I wish I could have seen my Mom, but she was sick in bed so I wish you Mom, to get better soon! I love you and I’m SO thankful for you! And Grandma Jane, we all know I love you dearly and appreciate all you do for us. THANK YOU! And, a little shout out to Dan’s sister Kelly…a Mother to be in October (it’s a BOY!)
A visit to sister Friday. I love how pretty much everytime we leave there, he bends over and says, “See you next time Naomi, I love you!” Be still my heart.
And this. Oh my. This moment was just amazing on Saturday. A long time friend of ours from back when we grew up in Holladay put on a HIGH Fitness workout, Rally for Ruby Fundraiser. Donations were welcome but not necessary. Abi and her team of amazingly beautiful and talented ladies made this SO successful and fun! Ali, Ruby and I got there for the last three songs so we joined in. The last song was Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” and my oh my did the tears flow…from everyone! And Ruby was just dancing her little heart out, looking so dang cute and serious. It was just awesome to see. She’ll start her second cycle of the Nivolumab Tuesday.
Just because 🙂
Rewind a bit to earlier last week when the weather was beautiful and warm!
Took the three amigos up to Lisa Falls one afternoon. They could have spent the entire day there!
And LOTS of swinging to end the week.
And this will be my last week teaching at UFC. This was my last Saturday morning workout there as well. I’ve learned a lot, met LOTS of awesome people and have seen members in my class change their bodies and become stronger…however, there’s just been way too much drama surrounding the management and staff and the feelings I have there just don’t make me happy, especially pertaining to the owners. A few key people have left and that just makes me sad, even though I know that when these kinds of doors close, others open. I’ll still be teaching one spin at VASA and the new gym THRYVE will open soon. I’m excited to take on some group classes there. All new nice equipment, some friends I already know from the old gym and a fresh start with more challenging things to teach, do and learn. Can’t wait!
